HKC Hungary Kendo Cup & Camp 2026
Dear Fellow Kendoka,
We are pleased to announce that our summer camp, with more than thirty years of tradition, will once again be held in a beautiful location near the scenic banks of the Danube.
We warmly welcome young and senior kendoka, as well as their families, who can enjoy a few relaxing and meaningful summer days with leisure opportunities and nature nearby.
The professional program of the camp will be led by two highly respected teachers invited from Japan. The camp will focus on children’s development, as well as adult practice and shiai/shinpan training.
The 33rd Hungary Kendo Camp will provide an excellent environment for everyone — whether you are a beginner, an advanced practitioner, a young kendoka, or a senior. We warmly invite you to join us for a colorful, motivating, and memorable week of kendo and community.

Categories of Competition
Individual competition (entry only in one category!)
- Men’s ( 18 years old and above)
- Ladies’ ( 18 years old and above)
- Junior age men’s 15-17 (15,16,17 years old at the time of the championship in case of min. of 8 participants)
- Junior age women 15-17 (15,16,17 years old at the time of the championship in case of min. of 8 participants)
- Big children age 13-14 (Older than 12 and younger than 15 years old at the time of the championship in case of min. 8 participants)
- Children age 10-12 (Older than 10 and younger than 13 years old at the time of the championship in case of min. 8 participants)
- 1.dan and under ( 06.29.: No gender restriction 18 and older in case of min. 16 participants)
Team competition*
- No gender restriction, 14 years old and above, teams composed of min 3 people max 7.*
- Registration for the championship is only possible under the name of a recognized club. If your club does not have enough members to form a team, you may join with members from another club. However, the team name must still be an existing club’s name. In this case, please indicate clearly in the “Team competition” section: “Dojo mix01…mix02..etc“
* Upon special request and with the responsibility of the participant dojo leader, competitors aged 13 may be allowed to join the team competition at their own risk. - Double-bed apartment (2 persons): 45,000 HUF / €125
- 3–4 bed room: 60,000 HUF / €170
- Twin room (2 beds): 33,020 HUF / €90
- Single room: 16,200 HUF / €45

- The accommodation price includes minibus transfer between the venue and the lodging before and after the daily events.
- Rooms are air-conditioned, equipped with private bathrooms, and accommodate four people.
- Shared areas provide refrigerators, cooking facilities, and an outdoor fire pit.
- A Tesco supermarket is located nearby.

The accommodation has a limited capacity of 50 people, so rooms will be allocated on a first come, first served basis – early reservations are strongly recommended!
Meal options:
Central meal ordering is only available on Saturday. There is no buffet or food service at the sports hall, so we recommend pre-ordering two giant baguettes (ham tower + cheese magic).
Price: 2,000 HUF / 2 pieces, which is cheaper than regular store prices.

Cancellation policy
After July 1st, we can refund half of the camp and competition fees in justified cases; however, the ordered baguettes are non-refundable.
